Each September our Kiwanis club organizes the Montoursville Fall Festival in Indian Park. The festival is a great way for our community to come together and enjoy food, games, live music, activities for kids, and fireworks! Are you part of a non-profit that’s interested in being a vendor at our next festival? Contact us to learn more.
Children’s Miracle Network Dinner
Our club holds an annual dinner to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network and the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital. Tickets to this event include a catered dinner and a presentation by a family who has received treatment at the hospital. Guests can also purchase raffle tickets for chances to win door prizes from many local restaurants and other businesses.
Character Breakfast
Once a year we join forces with Key Club to host a breakfast in the Montoursville Area High School. Breakfast is cooked by Kiwanis members and served by Key Club members dressed in a variety of costumes, including Disney characters and superheroes!
Key Club College Scholarships
Every year the Montoursville Kiwanis Club awards a college scholarship to a graduating senior from Montoursville Area High School who is a member of Key Club. For information about applying for the scholarship, please contact the Montoursville Key Club advisor or guidance counselor.
Key Club Sponsorships
We support Key Club service projects, facilitate Key Club meetings, and provide mentorships for Key Club students. We currently sponsor Kiwanis Key Club at Montoursville Area High School. Their annual programs and events include:
Warrior Pal Program – Every 4th grader in the school district is connected with a Key Clubber who mentors them on what it means to be a TERRIFIC kid through letter writing.
Warriors Connect – Two Key Clubbers are connected to every K-4 classroom in the school district. These members make monthly videos for the classes about what it means to be a good kid at home, school, and in our community.
Annual Halloween party for all of the school district’s K-4 students.
